Almost at the end of this year of formation in which we wish to invite the Groups to live more and more the missionary spirit within the Church, we cannot fail to refer to the Virgin who was the first catechist and the first missionary.

It is necessary, then, to listen to Our Lady who in so many ways opens our hearts and pushes them to look ahead, beyond the fog of our problems and immediate needs, in the hope of our salvation that includes our whole history.

May 5 – Feast of Charity and Day for Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza
The Feast of Charity was established to strengthen the connection between the Padre Pio Prayer Groups and the Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza, the earthly work envisioned by our Founder. On May 5 (or another day agreed upon with the Spiritual Assistant), the Group gathers to pray together during Holy Mass, offering prayer intentions for the Casa Sollievo and the Prayer Groups. The Eucharistic Celebration may conclude with the reading of the “Prayer for the Home Relief of Suffering.”
